Cheerios ad with mixed-race family draws racist responses
Mon Jun 3, 2013
As a "older" southern white woman I don't see a problem with this commercial. The family represents the people I see, live and work with every day. Good for you General Mills. Let that commercial stay on the air. And steryotyping isn't limited to people of color.

Thu May 23, 2013
I agree that exercise is important. I also think that it helps children with ADHD. However, I remember what a miserable experience it was for me in school. My gym teachers were sadistic, played favorites to the more athletic and a child like myself who actually needed the exe …

Whether the meal was bad is irrelevent, as is if the condition was an exacerbation. Fact. Two men beat another man to death. They should be charged with murder and spend the rest of their lives in prison. Lets see them complain about the food then.

Thu May 2, 2013
My children are gen y. I did tell them to follow their dreams but sometimes you need a real job to pay for the priviledge. I find that most millenials work hard and are good team players. Unlike gen x who don't want to do anything but the minimum, start at the top and don't work well with others.

Toy model of Jabba The Hutt's palace resembles a mosque, group says
Mon Apr 1, 2013
While I appreciate the sentiment of the Muslim population I am sure there was no intention of being disrespectful. Personally it would never have occurred to me that it looked like a mosque.
Budget standoff nothing new but demographics could make it worse

Medicare and Social Security are not "entitlement" benefits. If you do not work and pay into the system for SS you don't get it. I also pay into Medicare. I was required to pay into it. If those programs go a way I want my money back.
Texas woman has two sets of identical twins in one day

Congratulations and I know that they will be well loved. But 5 is more than enough for the planet. It is time to stop. If you want a girl.... adopt.
Millennials are the most stressed-out generation, new survey finds
Thu Feb 7, 2013
As a parent of two millenials who can't get jobs with decent pay and benefits I understand their stress, however, as parents I feel we have failed to give them the coping skills they need to handle it. That is our responsibilty when we chose to raise them.
